The History of M&M Precision Machining is classic Americana.

Roger James started his machining business in his garage on a Wednesday in 1984 when his two sons were 12 and 14 years of age. Within three days, Dad suggested that he could “use some help in the shop”.

It turns out, these two boys, Matt and Mike (yes, there is an M and M), “took” to machining immediately. So much so that eight years later, when their father decided to retire, they purchased the business from him. It has continued to grow and prosper, recently cited as “Manufacturing Business of the Year” by the local Elk River Chamber of Commerce.
At the awards ceremony, their success was attributed to “an abundant knowledge of, and
hands-on approach to, the machining business, an ability to hire and train talent and an
exemplary work ethic.”
